Dear Rud and Ann,

I was so surprised and saddened by the news of JT’s passing. I don’t know that I’d ever heard mention of anything about JT that didn’t convey great energy and liveliness. I know you are sad beyond my comprehension and that nothing I can say will offer the comfort you seek. I do know that you are surrounded by so many friends and family that love you for all that you are (with JT’s help). Please know that I am thinking of you often in these days. I know that the inspiration and motivation that JT brought to your life is not lost, so neither is JT. I hope in these days of sadness you’ll find comfort in the life JT lived and in all the people who were directly and indirectly influenced by it. Love, Charlie
