From Jan and Santiago Garcia

Ann and Rud,

Dear friends, Jan and I are unable to there to give you our embrace and join you in your celebration of Jay’s life. Homegoing is a concept that is full of a rich history of faith in our Black communities, where it is believed that we will be going home to our Lord and Creator and to be at His side. Our stay on this earth is temporary and we are to be able to bring people joy as we live and work among them. Jay certainly did his job well of sharing his joy with others, it was his mission in life to do so. He will be missed, but not forgotten. Every day you see a child smile or laugh you will see Jay’s work at its finest. Our hearts our sadden by your loss. Take a moment to celebrate knowing Jay is Home again.

Love,

Jan and Santiago Garcia, Homestead, Fl.
