From Joni Robinson

Dear Ann and Rud,

My heartfelt condolences to you at this sad and difficult time. My hope is that you will find solace and comfort amid the myriad expressions of love from family, colleagues, and friends near and far.

I share with you a poem that has lightened my load on many occasions over the past few years. It resonates with me once again as I consider Jay's far reaching impact during his earthly travels.

I also want to share that Jay's name was included in prayers spoken during worship on Sunday in our faith community, St. John's Episcopal Church.

Shalom, my friends.

Joni Robinson

A Hopi Prayer

Do not stand at my grave and weep,
I am not there, I do not sleep.
I am a thousands winds that blow.
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle automn rain.

When you awaken in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry;
I am not there; I did not die.
