Dear Ann, Rud and family,
My heart aches for you. I am so stunned about the loss of you beloved son and brother. The suddeness of his death stuns me, and everyone who knew and loves him and you.
While there are no words of solace I can offer to explain why this happened, please remember how much you and Jay have helped me, and our friends and colleages understand a basic truth - " It is only with the heart that one can see rightly. What is essential is invisible to the eye." ( The Little Prince)
You and Jay demonstrated, with such caring and conviction, that hopes and dreams can be achieved. Hold on to this thought as you grieve, wrap yourself in knowing that Jay lived a life that will continue to light a path for others.
There is a Native American belief that comforts me in thinking about the passing of our loved ones -
Perhaps they are not stars in the sky...
but, rather openings where our loved ones shine down to let us know they are happy.
I hope it brings you some soloce too.
