As parents of a 44 year-old son with disabilities, Karl and I instantly understood the depth of loss you both feel.
We pour so much into our children and they into us that it seems to create a more dense weave between us. Our struggles are so great, the triumphs so exhilerating and the meaning of life is so much more understood after a lifetime together.
An auro grows around the relationship as it did around you with your son.
So much is lost - and it must not only be painful but also very profound.
I'm sure that love has been the pillar of your lives and will sustain you now.
