Dear Ann and Rud,
Please accept my deepest condolances. Nothing can make it better, but I hope you will find some comfort in knowing that your son's life, his challenges and his triumphs, have touched countless lives. I have not forgotten your kindness in talking w/me several years ago at TASH to help me sort out some issues related to my own brother and our attempt to create a supportive system of supports. The articles and presentations you've shared regarding JT's life continue to challenge and inspire students and others in our field. Some of the richest discussions my graduate students engage in are in response to your writings about JT and your family. Thank you for sharing.
Know that you and your family will be in my prayers each day -

An extraordinary person with an extraordinary family.
ReplyDeleteWatching Kate's eulogy and reading Amy's account, one of my favorite quotes came to mind:
"In the evening of life, we will be judged on love alone." St. John of the Cross
How Amy said it: Live and Love. What a fortunate family and what a fortunate son and brother.
