Dear Ann and Rud, Amy and Kate,

It is with much sadness that I learned of Jay's death. Memories flood me - Ann's account of getting Jay out of the institution and bringing him home to have the opportunity that everyone should have - to be a real person and to live with one's own family; his living on campus as an adult with support and friendship from a fraternity and many campus friends; the struggle to find services as Jay grew older and Anne D's assistance with that; the outpouring of love from Jay's circle of family and friends as you planned supports for Jay should he outlive you.

When I think of Jay, I think of love - all the love that he brought and that coalesced around him, touching everyone who knew him. He has left an amazing legacy.
