Dear Ann and Rud,

As Dave and I drove through the sunset drenched Catalina mountains last Wednesday and listened to your voicemail, Rud, we were overwhelmed with sadness for you, your family and the enormous family you have built through the Beach Center. The majesty of the mountains and the profundity of your message merged for a moment and we were not afraid for Jay or you or ourselves, for that matter. Because love has prevailed in your lives and Jay has been the catalyst for so much good in the world. Even as we ache for you we celebrate the Turnbulls, Jay most especially. You all have moved mountains through your care and concern for each other.
It is an honor to make a contribution to the fellowship you have set up.
We long to see you and wrap our arms around you and raise many a toast to life - and to Jay.
