Dear Ann and Rud,
You have my deepest sympathy. I know it is hard to lose someone you love and especially a child. My dad died the day before Jay or I would have come to visitation. Jay was in my summer school student teaching when he was about 16, at Cordley. I also had a class with you, Ann. I did not get to know Jay very well in such a short time, but I remember him being very talkative and delightful. I have been teaching students like Jay, mainly TMH, middle school for 24 yrs. and I still love my job. I have talked about you all many times because of an article in the paper that touched my heart. It was about changing as an adult, his behavior especially. You hired people to be his friends and continue social activities so that he had a full life. I have encouraged many a parent to do the same instead of the child staying at home, only dealing with family. So Jay has influenced my career and thoughts many times. Thank you for the work you do and may you be blessed with comforting memories and peace of mind.
Love,
Robin Joseph ( Meserole - maiden name )
