Dear Ann and Rud,

After returning from a trip, I was saddened to hear that Jay had died. He was a fine man who had a great sense of integrity. I fondly remember how fellow students enjoyed his humor and regarded his sense of right and wrong as a model for themselves. Also, the memory of the love both of you displayed for him will always be with me. He was fortunate to have you as his parents.
